What it does

The added UV protection helps prevent permanent hyperpigmentation of fragile new scar tissue that can occur even with incidental sun exposure. Silagen is non-irritating, chemical-free sunscreen is a safer option because it remains on the surface of the skin and is not absorbed into the skin. 

Doctor's Tips

Wash and dry the area being treated before every application of Silagen Gel. Apply a very small amount of Silagen Gel to the area being treated, creating a thin layer covering the scar. Gently massage. Silagen Gel should be worn 12 to 24 hours per day for 2-6 months. The more time Silagen Gel is in contact with the scar, the greater the effect.
