Eye of Horus Second Skin Foundation is the creamy, long-wearing, easy-to-use, medium-coverage skin tint that so many of you are looking for. It subtly buffs over discoloration and evens everything out, yet its “second skin” finish doesn’t leave you looking overly made up; it comes in four versatile shades that are relatively simple to choose from, since they each work across a variety of skin tones; and it contains a variety of ingredients (plus SPF 25 , thanks to zinc oxide) designed to enhance skin while providing a bit of buildable coverage, making it far more than just makeup.

Obviously, once it arrived in our SF shop, it quickly became the best-selling foundation product on our shelves, even/especially for sensitive skin types. The fact that its vegan formula blurs the line between skincare and foundation is the icing on the cake: its skin-soothing, hydration-boosting goodies include moringa oil, ectoin, and Vitamin E.

We love applying this product with a sponge (our favorite: ), blending in for the degree of coverage desired. It also plays beautifully with sunscreen (our top pick: ), and we highly recommend the two together for optimal sun protection. And we appreciate the 50% post-consumer recycled packaging, which we highly suggest shaking well to evenly distribute all of the formula’s soothing and protective goodies. 

Second Skin Foundation is available in four versatile shades. All feature neutral undertones except for Warm/Medium, which has warm undertones to better suit olive and golden skin tones.
